I have had this pen for a while now, i originally bought it because of the colours of the acrylic. But the nib! Oh my goodness, it is buttery soft, juicy and with a wonderful 2B pencil sort of feedback. I love the nib and the pen looks great.
Scribo has roots in the late OMAS pen company, but their design departs from OMAS's in many ways. In particular, the shape of their pens is unique, and the weight and balance are amazingly comfortable. The La Dotta is similar in size and features to the Feel, but has a rounded barrel rather than facetted.
The nib is the one feature that most resembles that of the OMAS pens, but is a bit springier - lovely to write with. I find many of Scribo's materials rather dull, but the latest La Dotta models are anything but dull. The Turrita I ordered has a B nib. I had Ms. Hiller grind it to a crisp cursive italic, and it is wonderful for my everyday italic handwriting.
I can't say Scribo pens are better writers than OMAS, nor are the resins they use more beautiful than the celluloids for which OMAS was famous. But the shape, weight and balance of the Scribo pens, especially the Feel and La Dotta, make them more ergonomic for me. Did I say I like them a lot? Well, I do.
