Minor flaws: very occasional skipping (not much, but distracting for this pen class, sadly I forgot to select the "tune nib" option). Also a minute gap near the section missed by the color filling.
However, it mostly writes well, smooth with a "sticky" feel reminiscent of an old Parker Premier (which btw is 18k, this is steel). Aesthetically, it’s stunning. The orange with black and grayish gold swirls are gorgeous. I also like the dark steel details of the band, nib, and finial. The iconic clip is both usable and good-looking.
I got a medium nib, a bit fat, a fine would suit me better personally. Reverse writing works really well though, so I write regularly for longhand and flip the pen for finer journal entries. Comfortable posted and un-posted.
Slight faults aside, the pen has magnetism and charisma that makes me reach for it often. Highly recommended entry to the brand - but make sure to have Appleboom check the nib.

I was looking for a Visconti pen that could fill all the criteria that I have,when it comes to choose a fountain pen and I think I have found it!
The new Rembrandt S Orange is beautifiul and original: the swirls on the resin are elegant and harmonious. The barrel of the pen is wide enough - better than the Van Gogh for my hand - and this pen is light but not too much, given it has metal elements. Overall, the aesthetic aspect, the smoothness of the F nib (very nice "vintage look" of the black coated metal), and the balance made it immediately one of my favorite EDC pens! Plus, the "Tune and smooth" service offered by Appelboom is a must.
