I bought this Otto Hutt Design 04 Shiny Blue Fountain Pen last year in January and have used it for about 4-5 ink fills by now.

I cleaned out the pen and first inked it with De Atramentis Steel Blue. The nib was extraordinarily smooth. There was barely any feedback and the nib glided over the paper. The flow too was very wet and heavy. It was a truly enjoyable writing experience. I was glad I went for a Medium nib as the extra smoothness really increased the pleasure of using this pen.

I understand that many pens with gold nibs are available at this price point, however the Otto Hutt nib compares very favorably to many of them, so I have no hesitation in recommending this pen.

Appelboom shipped the pen quickly and securely, as usual. Secure and beautiful packaging, quick dispatch, tracking information provided and transparent transaction - all hallmarks of Appelboom.

I am very pleased with this purchase and whole heartedly recommend it to everyone.

Was looking forward to trying Otto Hutt Design 04 Blue Shiny Fountain pen. Came in lovely box (very smart). Unfortunately despite using both an ink cartridge or converter the pen failed to write,. This is not a reflection on Appelboom but on poor manufacturing product control. Otto people check your pens before releasing into the writing word!!!
