I wanted a nice, relatively cheap fountain pen that I could use for any kind of writing, and the Al-Star is great for that. It's got more weight than the Safari, which is what drew me to this pen. The combination of this pen and the Z28 converter means that it is a very versatile pen.

Two other great points are the ease with which you can change the nib on this pen, and the little see-through bit on the body, which allows you to estimate how much ink is left.

Naar mijn mening de perfecte starter pen. Vulpen in een modern jasje met de mogelijkheid de penpunten te vervangen op een hele makkelijke manier. Samen gekocht met een Lamy Z26 converter (de Z24 past ook).

De doorzichtige section zorgt ervoor dat je kunt zien wat er binnen in de pen gebeurd en de aluminium body van de pen zorgt ervoor dat hij licht en duurzaam is.
