A magnificent pen in this splendid cobalt blue colour, enhanced by the iridescence of the auroloid and its yellow gold accents. It feels very pleasant to hold, and the long barrel makes for a very comfortable grip. The beautiful, elegant 14kt gold nib, size , features scroll motifs; it offers a very smooth writing experience (as you’d expect, given the ebonite feed) with just a hint of resistance: it’s the perfect balance.
A very fine pen, superbly crafted, elegant and well-balanced, which makes my writing a delight.

It is my very first Aurora. A fantastic pen. I love the feel, weight, looks, filling system. Mine has a fine nib. Aurora nibs are special in the way that it has a slight feedback that makes you feel lightly the paper you are writing on with some control. It works better with a western not too lubricated ink (Aurora, Pelikan). Unlike a Iroshizuku or sailor ink will thicken the line.

A fountain pen that looks great and is very reliable. The nib is of high quality with a slight feedback. The grip is very pleasant and the window for viewing the ink level appreciable.

The quality of the pen is exceptional; Aurora's materials are undoubtedly top-tier, far superior to other brands. I wholeheartedly recommend purchasing this pen. It's light, features an incredible color, and boasts a beautiful Goccia-CM nib. The nib produces a wide range of lines, a feature that captivated me from the very first use. Writing with this pen is always smooth, and it writes flawlessly from the first try. Additionally, Appelboom's customer service is, as always, excellent.

Stylish fountain pen

The Aurora Optima in a Medium nib wrote flawlessly out of the box. The nib is smooth and wet, with less feedback than I expected.
The ink capacity is much appreciated and the pen is certainly stylish in cobalt blue auroloide with gold trim accents. The Appelboom team
dispatched the pen as fast as they could in difficult times. Highly recommended.
