Review Title: Orange is the new bronze

I bought this ink and was anticipating something resembling a metallic brown, which is the colour that comes to my mind when I think "Bronze". In other words, I was expecting a colour closer to the Lamy Al-Star LE Bronze.

However, my first impression was that I got the wrong bottle. It is not metallic at all (like Lamy Copper Orange from a few years back, which is, ironically, more "bronze"than this one), and has no trace of brown in it. It is actually a vibrant orange. Nothing wrong with that - I like orange inks.

It is just a question of expectation - the actual ink is very different from the picture.... and from the pen it is supposed to complement. I won't be inking my Lamy Al Star bronze with this ink, anytime soon, as it is not a match - not even close. Don't get me wrong, I will be using this ink... in other pens....

Aside that, it is a good value for money, as inks (and pens) from Lamy are bound to be. Just know that orange is the new bronze :)
