C’est un stylo plume classique à cartouche. La qualité de fabrication est exemplaire. De plus il utilise des cartouches standard et permet de changer de plume pour un prix très raisonnable. Sa taille convient pour un usage quotidien. L’ avantage c'est qu'il peut contenir une cartouche de rechange. Je l’utilise pour écrire sur un carnet que j'ai toujours sur moi.

An oldie but a goodie

I purchased my DIA2 and a Kaweco Premium medium nib. The DIA2 is a well built premium resin pen, it's fit and finish in my opinion is top rate. the pen has a vintage look that I like. It's a larger Kaweco but still a good pocket pen for everyday use. The new premium nib (at a extra cost) can be used in place of the original nib that comes with the pen. I found it to be slightly smoother
and a bit wetter. I like it but there are mixed feeling for it in the community.
The DIA2 would be a good starter pen as well as a good pen for an experienced fountain pen user. I give it a thumbs up approval.

Ik heb mijn Dia2 voorzien van een 14kt bicolor gouden penpunt van Kaweco.
Wat een super verbetering. De standaard metalen punt schrijft zeer goed, de gouden versie in medium daarentegen fenomenaal. De upgrade zeker waard. Een gouden penpunt schrijft onvergelijkbaar beter. Ik zeg: “doen.” Succes verzekerd en zeker geen spijt. De bicolor kleurt goed bij de chroom-look omdat de punt gedeeltelijk van wit goud is. Maar dat is persoonlijk.

I bought this pen because i needed a cheap pen for my everyday carry. And it has become so. I love the vintage looks. This pen writes super smoothly and with precision. The bock nib is stiff and mine is on the dry side. It easily tames japanese wet inks like iroshizukus. Built quality is well above average. It looks and feels indestructible. I don't use cartridges at all so i put a Kaweco mini converter in it. For the price it is an understated winner.

This is a great little pen at an even more excellent price. It has the looks of a pen that is 10 times more expensive. Feel and looks luxurious. I bought it with an EF nib but decided to try the F and M nib as well. They all write very well but the F and M nib write smooth as butter (at that price!). Furthermore always great service from Appelboom, Two thumbs up

Ik kocht deze pen zo'n zes maanden geleden bij Appelboom, met een 14kt EF gouden penpunt, die meer kostte dan de pen zelf. Maar die punt schreef niet naar mijn zin, ook niet nadat hij door een nibmeister was nagekeken. Toen voor een tientje of daaromtrent de gewone EF stalen penpunt gekocht, en die schreef direct prima.

Qua design is de pen min of meer een kopie van een model uit vroeger tijden. Naar originaliteit is dus niet gestreefd, maar dat hoeft ook helemaal niet. De pen ligt goed in de hand, voelt prettig aan en schrijft heel soepel. Een heerlijke no-nonsense-pen, en een prima 'workhorse', zoals dat heet, zijn aanschafprijs volledig waard.

Bezin u alleen alvorens u de gouden penpunt koopt, want ik heb inmiddels begrepen dat ik niet bepaald de enige ben die daarover niet tevreden was.

Wat een fijne pen, een aanrader voor iedere vulpenliefhebber en/of Kaweco fan. De pen glijdt over het papier als Sven Kramer over ijs, vloeiend met zelfs bij hoge schrijfsnelheid géén haperingen in de inkttoevoer. In combinatie met de Kaweco mini piston converter doet de pen waarvoor deze gemaakt is, lekker schrijven met eeen glimlach op je gezicht. Gebruik niet de Kaweco twist converter! Achter in de barrel van de vulpen zit een veer die ervoor zorgt dat er plaats is voor een extra inktcartridge.Echter de knop van de twistconverter valt hier precies in, met als gevolg dat als je de barrel opendraait, de inkt uit de converter wordt gespoten.
Appelboom heeft mij de juiste converter na gezonden, hiervoor dank.
Super betrouwbare service, daarom koop ik mijn pennen en inkt bij deze topzaak.

Good pen for the price

This fountain pen is a good pen without been great. Is comfortable in the hand and is small nib give us some feedback. Is not a smooth nib for people that likes one smooth nibs but is very comfortable to write.
For is price is a very good pen to buy and to use.

I bought Kaweco Dia2 because i already had several other Kaweco pens that used the same 060 nib unit. It is comfortable pen to hold and to use, though the nib appears bit small in a pen this size. There is a spring inside of the barrel that rattles, and i see how it could bother people but apparently the function of that spring is to keep the cartridge on place.

All that being said, if you are looking for a Kaweco pen in this price range, and you already own Kaweco sport brass, then it might be worth of considering.
