The resin is deep and luscious, like jungle foliage. The nib is smooth and juicy. It's beautifully balanced and just great as an everyday pen or for special occasions.

Well, I have few Leonardo pens and I like their 14k gold fine flex nib, It's a pleasure to write with - a soft nib and not scratchy, But the Baobab is also breathtakingly beautiful, and the new section of the MZG 2.0 is better. A bit wider, but not too much, and good for a lengthy writing.

This is such a smooth pen to write with. I got the Steel medium nib and it's one of the nicest and smoothest nibs I own - even beating some more expensive gold nibs. Besides the writing quality my other favourite bits about the pen are the hidden underneath the cap ink window, which has to be one of the nicest design I've seen, and the Baobab resin, which is really pleasant and the variety in the resin really makes my pen feel like ' my pen'. I'm very happy I got this.

The MZG 2.0 Baobab is a stunning Italian-made fountain pen crafted from high-quality resin materials. From the moment you hold this pen in your hand, you can feel the exceptional build quality and craftsmanship that has gone into its design. One of the standout features of this pen is its unique and eye-catching Baobab color scheme. It's a pen that's sure to draw admiring glances and compliments from anyone who sees it. But the Leonardo Momento Zero Grande 2.0 Baobab isn't just a pretty face. It's a high-performing writing tool that's sure to impress even the most discerning fountain pen enthusiast. The pen's large size makes it comfortable to hold and write with, while the smooth nib glides effortlessly across the page, producing crisp, clear lines with every stroke. Overall, I would highly recommend the MZG 2.0 Baobab fountain pen to anyone looking for a high-quality writing tool that's both beautiful and functional.

Stunning Pen

Hi,
I got this with the Steen nib in Board and also had it tuned. Let me tell you, the pictures don't do the spaghetti resin justice and after the tuning, the nib is sooo smooth. If you have the time, I would get that done so it writes like a dream out of the box.
I went back and forth on the different colors as this isn't my typical pick but the green like moss and yellows were too beautiful to pass up.

I love this pen!

For the first time, I bought a pen without seeing it! It is almost as I imagined it (“almost” as it is a little heavier than I thought). It is bigger than my MB Meisterstück 148; it should be in the MB 149 size class. The nib size is proportional to the pen body – this is a serious nib.
The pen is simply gorgeous – I choose it for its unusual color association. The color stripes emit a kind of luminosity as satin or velvet does. It looks like a soft and slightly glossy object. It works perfectly well (a medium steel nib, not so broad as I expected).
I wonder why the model is called “Baobab”. The name “Firefly” would have corresponded better to its color combination.
A tiny downside: to fill the pen, its nib and feeder should be completely immersed in the ink. Since I only have a little of Iroshizuku Tsuki-Yo, I had to use a spare Sailor inkwell and an eyedropper to fill it.

MZG 2.0 Baobab is a good value and great pen

The MZG 2.0 Baobab is a beautiful pen. The photos do not do it justice. It is wonderfully chatoyant and iridescent. It is a rather large pen and very comfortable when held. The piston ink-filling mechanism is flawless and the ink window is a very useful. I bought it with the #6 stainless steel broad nib and it writes perfectly out of the box. Highly recommended.

I ordered my Leonardo MZG 2.0 baobab with a #8 gold EF nib.
The pen looks stunning. The spaguetti resin is gorgeous and ever so slightly translucent depending on the area, so you can see a hint of the nib and filling mechanism. The ink window is clear and functional, and I find the new section grip comfortable. This is the third MZG that I own and all of them vary slightly in length, I don't know the reason behind this.
The #8 nib is flawless, it was well tuned out of the box. It has a huge ebonite feed with a generous ink flow. It's a Jowo nib, I am pretty sure it's not Bock.
I am very impressed with the pen, the only downside is the steep price if you add the #8 gold nib, But with a #6 steel nib I think this pen is a very good value for the money.
