This was my 1st gold nib pen so I chose Pilot as it is a brand you can always trust. I am not disappointed with my choice however you need to get used to the sweetspot. But overall it is a smooth writing with thia pen.
As usual my experience with Appelboom was highly satisfactory

I hesitated to purchase from an overseas business due to recent tariffs (shipped with DHL, under $25 for the tariffs - Michigan, USA). However, I decided to go with Appelboom because they offered the tuning. I have not been disappointed with the purchase. This pen writes SOOOO smoothly and became a favorite immediately. Highly recommend this company and their nib tuning. I will definitely purchase from them again!

Wat een geweldige pen is deze Custom 74. Voor mij is dit de eerste vulpen met gouden nib en ik ben blij met mijn keuze. Formaat is comfortabel, de balans is goed en hij schrijft, ondanks dat het een fine nib is, lekker juicy. Ik heb dan ook gebruik gemaakt van de gratis ‘tune en smooth’ service die wordt aangeboden.

Dit was mijn eerste aanschaf bij Appelboom en ik ben heel tevreden met de service dus het zal zeker niet mijn laatste zijn!

I ordered this pen after reading so much about its amazing nib. Appleboom was the only site that had it in the color I wanted (Blue Stone) and so I decided to give it a try. I must admit that the pen looks beautiful and the 14K nib is buttery smooth and writes like a dream (truth is I did have it tuned and smoothed before delivery). All in all this pen is definitely a keeper. It is a joy to write with and it is very comfortable for extended writing sessions. Big plus is the con-70 converter which fills incredibly easy and holds a large amount of ink.

Wat een mooi merk toch, had al de pilot Custom 823 en dit is een iets kleine versie hiervan. Niet voor grote handen, want hij is kleiner dan je denkt vanaf de foto's. Als je grotere handen hebt, is de Custom 823 een betere keuze.

De NIB is smooth en loopt echt als een trein! Maar het kan ook zomaar komen door de tune and smooth service die ik heb aangevinkt. De NIB meister heeft al eerder een Montblanc van mij gered dus absolute aanrader om deze service te gebruiken!
