I find the MZ a comfortable pen for me to use. I chose the Prugna and l am glad l did. The colour is rich with enough variation to make me twirl it around looking at it before l write. I enjoy Writers Blood ink in the pen. Great service too. A happy customer!
A truly stunning pen with a jewel-like quality. The rose gold trim complements the richness of the plum-coloured resin perfectly. It wrote perfectly straight out of the box and is beautifully balanced. The choice of a fine nib suits me very well.

My first Leonardo pen, and this one's a keeper! A middle-sized pen with a unique nib section that is well-balanced and fits my hand perfectly, which together with its lightweight body turn the pen into a long-distance writer. The F nib writes - unlike a certain other infamous Italian brand - amazingly smooth, whether that is because of Leonardo's in-house QC or Appelboom's nib tuning service. In addition to being a superb writer, the pen is also quite the looker. The resin in dark burgundy shows a splendid chatoyance, and the rose gold nib and trim complements the pen beautifully.
As to the shopping and service experience, Joost has been always quick to answer questions and address problems. I will buy from Appelboom again. Recommended!
The Prugna color from my point of view fits very well with Rose gold trim. The pen fits very well in my medium hand, balance is very well without posting. Also posted is for me well balanced.
Overall quality is from my point excellent for the price, High attention e to inside details. too Also appreciate that convertor is attached to body by screwing not standard push way. More secure by filling from ink bottle.
The nib is a EF and i was a little bit afraid of performance on less quality papers, but the nib has a for me exact feedback and is really smooth if i apply correct pressure :-). By higher pressure i have immediately sound feedback from a nib but the performance is still butter smooth.

I can highly recommend The Leonardo Momento Zero and also Appelboom services. For sure will buy more Leonardo pens and also other product offered here.
I have the Leonardo Momento Zero prugna with red (rosé?) gold trim. The combination is just gorgeous. This is a pen that evokes the better Tuscan wines... I use it with MB Burgundy ink, to remain in the enological sphere. The pen is very light, and I find the dimensions just perfect. I had some problems with the fine nib (which comes close to a medium), but after some days of trying, it writes perfectly and very smooth. The only point is that the converter sometimes makes a little rattling noise, due to the fact that one can also use it as a piston filler.
I finally decided to purchase this fountain pen and thanks for the help from Joost to guide me through the checkout process. I heard a lot of good things about this pen and cannot wait to try it out.
Most people know what they're getting with these pens by now. The Leonardo line rarely disappoints. This is my second Momento Zero and the material is just gorgeous. The spaghetti resin in this deep, rich color, really impresses. I got mine with a 1.1MM stub that write well. The pen is a joy to use. Looks like i got the same two MZs, down to the trim choices, as Douglas, below. Great taste ..... :)
