The silver Aion is a good looking pen with a solid feel and a good size. The pen has a slightly bigger circumference than the 2000 and is comfortable to use. I chose to order a Z55 14ct gold nib with the Lion and the combination works well together.

This is a great pen for a very reasonable price.

Lamy Aion is the latest addition to the Lamy lineup. It’s an interesting new pen.
It has a simple flat top. Nothing going over it. I personally prefer flat ends over the rounded ones. The cap is plain in cylindrical shape. Spring-loaded clip made of stainless steel in solid look with Lamy engraved on the side. Tiny chrome colored center band matching the clip.
The barrel is also simple in cylindrical shape that does tapers towards the end. It has a Snap-On cap that closes with a nice satisfying pop. It’s nicely weighted pen and it really makes you feel that you have something in your hand.
The section and the barrel coincide perfectly but the color and texture is slightly different and it gives a nice contrast to the pen.
All I have to say is this is a great pen, a minimalist design and exceptionally well made. It’s good looking, solid and functional. It has a great feel to it and reasonably good value for money.
