Als beginnende vulpen- en inktverzamelaar is het een uitdaging de goeie inkt te vinden om kleuren als geel/abrikoos/goud/messing uit mijn pen te laten vloeien. Bij Appelboom kon ik goed en snel terecht voor het befaamde Old Gold van KWZ.
I'm from Poland and it's a bit weird, but it's easier for me to buy KWZ ink from Appelboom than from local stores. KWZ offers a wide range of interesting colours, their inks are consistent and reliable. I especially like their selection of blues as well as Brown Pink and Grey Plum.
When purchasing a Wancher Sekai Aizu Urushi Verawood fountain pen, I was wondering which ink would best match the wood color. I mostly use Japanese inks, but this time I opted for a Polish ink, KWZ Honey.
The enthusiastic opinions about this manufacturer in general, and about this particular color in particular, influenced my choice. The ink is spot on! It has excellent physical properties, and its vivid radiant color matches perfectly with the pen’s body. I will certainly buy some of these handcrafted inks!
And another blue or so you think. But as it is mostly with KWZ - it is a little bit different. A blue with shadows, flowing smoothly. Only thing missing is a special scent. Although…there is something sharp and fresh.
Using KWZ together with Pilot and Diamine most of the time, Honey is still one of the five best inks I have.
The color tone, the richness and especially the comforting smell make it stand out. It is great to use and its shadowing is just beautiful.
I kocht KWZ Honey. Wat een fantastische kleur. Goudbruin, je denkt inderdaad meteen aan honing. De shading is geweldig, waardoor het een hele warme kleur wordt die soms bijna licht lijkt te geven. De inkt schrijft ook heel prettig. Ik ben er erg blij mee.
Ik heb KWZ Honey besteld voor mijn amberkleurige pilot custom 823. Wat een mooie kleur inkt. De inkt ruikt vanille achtig, wat ik wel lekker vind ruiken. KWZ Honey is een absolute aanrader!
If you love wet inks you will love these. They are cheaper than most japanese inks but certainly not of a lesser quality. Just very underrated somehow. The inks behave amazing and make every pen write well. In my opinion they offer a very good variety of very beautiful colors.My favorite colors so far are:
- Brown Pink -- a beautiful dark red purple
- Grey Plum -- a dark purple/black perfect for some fun during work
- Warsaw Dreaming -- black with a blue hue again great for work without getting boring
- Blue Black -- a rich true blue black very chique
I just started collecting them...so more to come!
