This is my 5th or 6th bottle of black document ink . It’s my go to ink when I’m journaling or writing letters. It takes a few seconds to dry when I ink up a pen with a stub or broad nib. I am right handed and it works very well in my pens with fine and even medium nibs.
Review for Greyblue: wonderfull soft grey (pigeon blue) tone. No problems with clogging, bleed throug or staining yet. Would buy again and appreciate to try other colours of this series. Very good price-performance ratio.

I've been using De Atramentis Document Ink Black for a few weeks now, and my experience has been great. It's not exactly cheap but also not wildly expensive (almost three times more expensive than, for instance, Pelikan 4001 in a standard bottle), and when dry it is extremely water resistant. It flows quite well in my Lamy AL-star and has not caused any clogging even though I only use it a few times per week. It takes a bit longer to dry than most non-document inks I know, but it's not a huge difference. I also find that it's a pleasant black colour.
There's a good chance that this will become my new default ink. I'll keep my notebooks away from water, of course, but it's honestly quite refreshing to do that out of being careful instead of fearing that I'll loose months of notes if I fail.
I was looking for a brown ink, waterproof and lightfast. This one is expensive, but it's really worth it. The brown is a beautiful colour and it flows really well. I used the ink in a ruler pen and I could make the tiniest lines with it. Very happy with the ink!
This is my 1st document ink and my experience using is nothing but pleasant! Ink flow is so smooth! I was scared it may clog since this is a permanent ink and might be difficult to wash but OMG, its even better than my black non-perm fountain pen. Im truly satisfied! Ill definitely will get another bottle once this runs out. ????????????
I've been using De Atramentis Document Inks for several years in a wide range of fountain pens. The inks write smoothly and cleanly on both quality and inexpensive papers. Because the Document ink uses nano particles, I occasionally flush each pen, but have to date had no problems.
The Document Ink colors can be mixed together, lightened with the white ink, or thinned with De Atramentis thinner, without losing the document ink permanent and waterproof characteristics. An inexhaustible range of finely tuned colors is possible! Highly recommended.
De Atramentis Document Ink heb ik al jaren in gebruik voor schets- en tekenwerk met vulpen en aquarel. De inkt droogt heel snel en vlekt niet. Nog nooit een verstopte pen gehad (zowel in piston- als convertersystemen)
