I have had this pen for a while now and I love it. The medium nib is a great writer with just a touch of feedback and the swirling colours of the resin are eye-catching but in a tasteful way, My pen has more blue in the resin mix than the one photographed for the website but I prefer it!

Beautiful pen to look at and a pleasure to write with. The medium gold nib writes smoothly without any skipping and the trim and resin of the pen make it look sharp while still being interesting. Great service from the Appelboom team as always!

I just got the opportunity to use my new pen, and it writes beautifully! Very smooth writer and fits well in hand. Netherlands: Appelnboom is amazing as always. I find it hard to believe that there is a better place to buy pens from overseas.
USA: Jonathon Brooks’s resin is well…it’s one of his resin’s. You know what they are like.

Attractive material and beautiful colour scheme -mine has a lot of muted blue with pearly white swirls tinged with a bit of orange and purple and a hint of dark green/gray, reminding me of the start of sunrise on a crisp winter morning.
The 14 ct F nib and the Ebonite feed make it a smooth and wet writing experience whit a hint of feedback, exactly how I like my fountain pens.
All in all a gorgeous pen from another collaboration of SBREBROWN, BROOKS, APPELBOOM, LEONARDO.

Another extraordinary Leonardo pen. The material is based on the colors in a Canadian Winter photo taken by Dr. Brown. This was initially planned to be a very limited edition of eight pens, and mine is No. 5 of 8. Subsequently, Stephen Brown and Joost Appelboom decided to expand the release, and more are being made. Available only through Appelboom Pens.

The material is attractive and unique. Mine has a lot of bluish-gray and orange coloration. My pen has a 14Kt 1.1mm Stub nib. I have it inked with Leonardo Grigio. It's a smooth, wet writer but still crisp enough for my italic handwriting.

Love the colour scheme - some people say this is close to primary manipulation 1.0 but I disagree - mine has quite a bit of the muted blue and purple, with a decent mix of the orange/coral. I love the MZG 2.0 model - perfect weight and balance in the hand for longer writing sessions. Wish it had a titanium nib option!
