The Lamy CP1 is a slim metal design, 9.5mm in diameter. CP stands for cylindrical pen and is the second oldest still existing writing line of Lamy. The pen was designed by Gerd A. Müller, also designer of the Lamy 2000, in 1974.

Lamy is an independent family-owned enterprise which was established in 1930 by , former Parker employee, C. Josef Lamy in Heidelberg. The Lamy brand has existed since 1952 and proved its innovative prowess in the very first year with the completely novel Lamy 27 fountain pen series. And in 1966 the distinctive style of Lamy Design was born with the Lamy 2000.

Almost thinner as what I envisionned. I end up gripping higher on the barrel. Very reliable, writes well. I sadly found a defect on my cap a bit late, the clip moves a bit up and down. It doesn't affect usage.
Great pen for the price.

I loved this pen so much that I bought a second one!

Appelboom shipped the pen carefully and elegantly in a box that carries their signature green.

P.S. Try it out with a stub nib, you might be surprised by how fun it is!
