The Mozart is precisely machined from premium Japanese Nikko ebonite, a traditional material appreciated for its warmth, elasticity and distinctive tactile character. Ebonite is naturally comfortable in the hand and relatively lightweight, allowing the Mozart to achieve excellent balance without sacrificing its substantial feel. At 22.5 grams capped and just 15.6 grams without the cap, the pen provides excellent control during long writing and calligraphy sessions.

Handcrafted 14K Gold Flex Nib

At the heart of the Kanwrite Mozart is its specially developed #6 14K gold nib. Its distinctive vintage-inspired, beak-like profile has been engineered specifically for flex writing, using the natural elasticity of gold to create responsive tine movement and impressive line variation. Each nib is handcrafted and available in three different styles: Regular Vintage Flex, HyperFlex and Music, allowing writers to select anything from controlled everyday flex to highly expressive calligraphic performance.

The Regular Vintage Flex nib combines controlled flexibility with quick snap-back and is available in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium and Broad. For writers seeking maximum expression, the Fine HyperFlex offers exceptionally soft responsiveness and dramatic tine spread. The 4B Music nib features a distinctive three-tine, dual-slit construction designed to provide exceptionally generous ink flow and bold, expressive strokes.

High-Flow Dual-Channel Ebonite Feed

Flex writing requires an ink supply capable of keeping pace with rapidly changing line widths. Kanwrite therefore developed a dedicated dual-channel ebonite feed for the Mozart. Its high-flow construction and enlarged ink pathways provide the generous ink delivery required by the Vintage Flex, HyperFlex and Music nibs, helping maintain saturated lines during wide downstrokes and sustained flex writing.

Versatile 2-in-1 Filling System

The Kanwrite Mozart includes two interchangeable filling options. The 1.4 ml threaded piston-pump converter screws securely into the pen and provides a convenient solution for everyday use with bottled fountain pen ink. For greater capacity, Kanwrite also supplies a 2 ml reusable threaded ink cartridge, which can be filled using an eyedropper or syringe. Its removable cap can even be screwed onto the bottom of the cartridge while in use, reducing the chance of losing it.
