Esterbrook fountain pen users are known for making magic whenever they pick up one of their pens. That is why Esterbrook has been inspired to look for magic all around us. In doing so, what’s a more mystical, whimsical place than those broad stretches of arctic where the Northern Lights shine? Produced by solar winds in the magnetic field within Earth’s atmosphere, the Northern Lights create a dazzling, dancing curtain of colour that has entranced Vikings a millennia ago – and tourists today.

You don’t have to travel to Iceland or Svalbard to get a glimpse – Esterbrook is bringing the Aurora Borealis right to your desk. Their new Camden model is their interpretation of the cosmic phenomenon. This exclusive pen is set in beautiful and contrasting hues reminiscent of the Lights, with a touch of “stardust” using DiamondCast technology. This will surely be a welcomed Winter treat in the dog days of Summer that await us.

The Esterbrook Camden fountain pens use a cartridge or converter and are equipped with a #6 nib with matching coating.

The Esterbrook Camden is named for the city where Richard Esterbrook settled his company, the Esterbrook Camden collection speaks to a time in the 1930’s when Camden, NJ was at its most prosperous and home to some of the most important innovations of its day. Perhaps most famously, it was the birthplace of RCA Victor where, in 1933, an experimental TV station broadcast would be the first signs of technology that would ultimately eclipse the radio.  As RCA was producing millions of records, Esterbrook was producing millions of pens. One can almost hear the sounds of the production belts humming along still. Now, this dignified American town of the early twentieth century, translates to an equally classic pen. As records have made their comeback in the last decade, so too, has the American fountain pen. Produced in three colors, Rose, Graphite and Silver, with bright silver hardware, the Camden, is streamlined and sleek. Designed for ultimate comfort when writing, the pen features a contoured grip section and  a satin-like finish with a grain that harkens to the grooves on a record. The pen is balanced with a weight that feels substantial without feeling like, well, heavy metal. Whether you are penning daily notes, journaling, planning, or writing the next great tune for the American songbook, the Esterbrook Camden will become a standard in your collection.

Times may be different, values stay. The Esterbrook Pen Company, a true American Original since 1858, is rewriting its long success story in modern times with a fresh new pen collection based on a complete rebranding. Join the revolution!
