I came in the store today to buy a brown ink. They have a large Ink Book. I bought Diamine Macassar (very, very nice). The seller was exceptionally friendly and helpful. So I couldn't leave the store with only a bottle of ink.
The brown Diplomat Viper wasn't available at the time (for the brown ink), but I think I like the blue even more.
Fantastic pen, and it writes perfect. The fine/medium nib is just perfect for my taste. I'm happy.

The “scales” design on the pen body and cap are smooth, almost flush to the surface. They do not rub your hands when you hold it. It has a wonderful look - I am a fan of hooded nibs! The magnetic cap is amazing, and I love to show it off! The nib writes smoothly, with very little feedback. I would have preferred a broad nib, but this model fits my needs in the meantime. Love it!

This is a very handsome and fun pen to use. I have been very impressed with Diplomat's products. I was somewhat uncertain what the lower price point of this item would mean for its functionality. I am pleased that it works perfectly and, in some ways, is like a rollerball pen. The color is striking and the texture makes for an easy grip. Excellent product.

This is a well manufactured pen. The weight is decent, not to heavy. Aluminium is a good material for this pen. The pattern on the body and cap of the pen is stunning and feels smooth. The colour is darker, more demure as in the pictures. The magnetic closing mechanism works very well. I am a bit worried that the pen might dry out quickly because there is no extra seal in the cap. But this only time will tell. The hooded nib is great. Sure the grip section and size of the pen resembles the Parker 51, but there are differences. I would say, that Diplomat made the better design choices. The pen looks great from the side, the arched cut under the nib exposes more of the feed and that looks much better as in the Parker. The nibs writes fantastic out of the box. It has the slightest bit of feedback, which is nice. It is juicy without being to wet. And the feed keeps up even with fast writing. All in all a great pen. I can really recommend this latest addition to the Diplomat family.
