This was my first Pelikan and my first purchase from Appleboom. Both have been outstanding experiences. I asked Appelboom to check and to tune my nib (a service that I wish other retailers offered), and it writes magnificently. The pen is beautiful and the perfect size for my everyday writer. It has the smoothest operating piston I have ever experienced, and the quality of construction is unmatched. Appleboom's customer service is wonderful, and I could not be happier with my experience.

This is my third Pelikan Souveran fountain Pen from Appelboom. I also have the M1000 and the M800, both with fine nibs. The M600 is an outstanding everyday, everywhere, take with pen. I like the extra fine nib for improving my handwriting. The ink flow is perfect and consistent and the pen wrote well right away. That probably is because, like my other two Pelikan fountain pens, I requested a nib tuning from Appelboom for the M600. My first ink fill is with Pelikan Edelstein Star Ruby ink and this red ink looks special with the beautiful black/red fountain pen. As a bonus, my new pen has the signature Pelikan translucent stripes on the barrel so the ink level is visible. The customer care and service from Appelboom, as usual, was exceptional.
This is a beautiful pen, write smoothly. It write really wet, so order one nib size down if this is your first Pelikan pen. Appelboom service is wonderful and responsive. Thanks for free “tune and smooth” option,
I had wanted this pen for a while and decided to order from Appelboom because of the competitive pricing and their reputation for excellent customer service . This pen was part of a larger order and it was beautifully wrapped and placed in the larger box that contained the rest of my order along with some delicious biscuits. The packaging and customer service was excellent.
The pen itself writes smoothly and the piston mechanism worked without any issues. This is my second Pelikan and it didn’t disappoint. The weight of the pen and the size are perfect for my hand. I use Pelikan ink in my fountain pens.
I had mostly used Japanese gold nib pens and this was my first Pelikan and what a great pen it indeed is. I ordered an M600 in medium nib as I wanted a nice juicy fat nib and it is such a pleasure to write with. The nib is so well tuned and the ink flow is just perfect. You have to get a Pelikan to understand why the fans rave so much about them. Appelboom provides one of the most competitive pricing for European pens. The pen was lost in transit but thanks to Mr Appelboom for his outstanding service and was immediately replaced and shipped .It was a gift for my wife and she loved it.The pen is among the grail and GOAT .Although Fine nib is a wet writer and out of the box worked perfectly .
Just like other Pelikans the Souverän m600 writes smoothly, holds a good amount of ink and looks sharp. Clip works nicely, cap twists on and off quickly and the piston turning knob is smooth. I like that the nib and section twist right out of the body of the pen for cleaning. I knocked one star because the one I received had flat looking stripes. Owning many Pelikans I know that the shinyness can vary. Sometimes you get really shiny stripes, other times you get a combination of flat and shiny stripes and this one I recieved is flat. Doesn't change how great the pen is and still looks very attractive. It is also a decent amount smaller than the Pelikan m800 series. Another nice thing is posting the m600 doesn't make it back heavy. The m600 seems like the sweet spot if you have smaller hands, just want something smaller or want a carry pen that is not bigger like an m1000 and not too small like the m300. The m600 is a great choice and I highly recommend every enthusiast to have one.
This pen is the second Pelikan in my collection and I have to say it is absolutely stunning writing instrument! I love the majestic combination of the gold trim and the red stripes. The medium nib performs as a dream. It is smooth but gives just right amount of feedback. For easy cleaning of the ink barrel you are able to remove the whole nib section easily. Can't wait to add more of these birds into my pen case!
I have several M400 and M800s. Although I love them all, I think the M600 is pretty much the perfect size for me. It's lightweight and reasonably comfortable to write with. However, it feels rock solid and the build quality is top notch. It has a fairly good sized 14k gold nib. The clip slides easily over shirt pockets or other materials. Overall, it's a classy pen.
