In a newsletter, I noticed a pen with multicolored spots. It turned out to be filled with an eyedropper, a system absent from my collection, which I have always considered attractive — a kind of "back to basics" system. Thus, I discovered Opus 88, a manufacturer specializing in eyedropper pens. It offers a choice of less eccentric-looking pens, but I bought this model just for fun.
As the pen is big and may contain a large quantity of ink, which makes it heavy, I opted for a B nib, which works perfectly with no prior tuning. The tricky point is filling it with ink, since the printed instructions included in the box are sparse and brief. I found a helpful YouTube video and followed its instructions. I did not spill a single drop of ink!
The pen is a good writer, well-balanced in hand and nicely made. The system works like a lock on a canal, giving the owner the pleasure of controlling the ink flow. A nice object for all pen addicts!
