Im a fan of waterman and its my second Expert. The Opera is beautiful piece of art and i full with joy. My preference is F nib.
The service was great, good communication and packing were made with loving touch. Its clear they value their trade (+ Thank you for the Dutch biscuits. You made me smile)

When you order this pen you can order it with the nib tuned. I would advise doing so. This pen looks really nice but it does not write well out of the box. (Hard starts and skips). Once I go through the current cartridge I am going to clean the pen thoroughly and maybe even change the brand/color of ink to see if it writes better. One thing that I like bout the pen, other than how it looks, is that the cap snaps when posted. I think this pen will be one of my favorites if I can fix tha hard start problem.

The Waterman Expert Opéra looks very refined and is very comfortable to use. The posting is very secure and the writing experience is smooth. The ink flow is excellent and the fine nib produces a true fine line. This pen will definitely be a daily companion. Overall, this is a very well built and classy pen (the gold-plated cap is superb!). Thanks also to Appelboom for the swift service and delivery.
