This is my first Scribo. I have had it for over two weeks now and it has been my daily driver.
I enjoy the size and weight of the pen. It feels good in the hand and though the beautiful facets continue on the grip section, they are not sharp and the pen remains very comfortable to hold. It is a lovely, semi-transparent color so I can see the ink level if I hold it up to the light and the cap comes off in one very precise turn.
This is my first flex nib and ebonite feed. The ebonite feed ensures that even the driest of inks flow smoothly and I have really come to enjoy that feature. The EF flex nib is much broader than Japanese nibs (it writes more like a western fine), but it is a well-tuned nib and a wonderful writer.
Finally, Appelboom's customer service was outstanding as usual. They ordered the pen for me from Scribo and were quick to answer my questions through email.
I enjoy the feel of this pen in my medium large hand. It’s very pleasant to look at and more importantly to write with. I thought I had ordered a medium nib but I received a medium flex nib. Return or give a new nib a try? I decided to give it a try and do not feel regret. It puts down a thick medium line and with Visconti Sepia ink flows fairly wet. I’m a felt handed writer and haven’t tried out the flexibility functions yet, I’ll ease into it.
A nice introduction to the ScriBo line.
