The Caran d'Ache Varius Ebony Silver fountain pen is a joy to write with. Right out of the box, it was flawless—smooth, precise, and beautifully balanced. The OM (oblique medium) nib is the smoothest I’ve ever used, gliding effortlessly while adding character to my handwriting.

The ebony wood barrel has a natural warmth, making writing feel more organic than with metal pens. The hexagonal shape is both stylish and functional, and I love how the cap and barrel align perfectly when closed—a testament to its craftsmanship.

Its weight and diameter are perfect for me, offering a comfortable grip, even for long writing sessions. I hold my pens higher up on the barrel, and this design suits that grip perfectly.

Overall, this pen is an incredible blend of luxury, precision, and comfort. More than just a writing tool, it’s an experience.
