Moonlight of Higashiyama

I bought the Moonlight of Higashiyama recently but also own Cherry Blossom of Keage. Beautiful subdued colors. I love these inks. The ink is a bit dry but when you use it in a pen with a wet nib it will balance out nicely.

Soft Snow of Ohara

  • Review Add on: 11-07-2022
  • Average Rating: (4)

Soft Snow of Ohara was my first Kyo-Iro ink. I've used it consistently for about a week and a half now and it is a beautiful powdery purple color. It is not extremely saturated, but it is very legible. As is the case with most Japanese fountain pen inks, this ink behaves very well. I've been using it my Pilot Custom 823 with a Fine nib.
Other reviews you might find online claim that the Kyo-Iro inks run dry, and while I agree that it is not a wet ink, I don't think that it runs dry. I feel like the ink has an average flow. I'm happy with this ink and will certainly try other colors by this brand.
