I bought this to pair with my Kaweco AL in vibrant violet. I choose the gold retro clip and it works well with the pen. It didn't scratch my pen which is what I am most worried of (but we will see in the long run if it discolors the pen). It has a good amount of tightness to it but also easy to remove. The design looks neat at all angles of the clip making my pen nicer. I'd go for another retro clip again!
