I like Opus 88 large pens. Of the ones I have the thinnest is the Opera Blue Arrow but it is becoming my favorite Opus 88 pen. It is my favorite for a strange reason. It writes great, smooth, wet, holds a ton of ink, and is an eye dropper with a shut off valve like all the other Opus pens. The reason is materials and styling. The Blue Arrow Cap reflects light and just sparkles.. The pen body is a darker blue but you can still see the ink level in the pen. I don't post my pens so I just stare at the sparkling Blue Arrow cap on my desk. This pen is a pleasure to view and use
These Opera 88 pens write well with their Bock #6 steel nibs. They have huge ink capacity and come with a glass pipet with a rubber bulb so that you can fill the pens with ink. The seals are very secure and tight so there is no leakage. Ink flow is excellent and it is partially regulated by twisting the end cap that controls a plug to the ink reservoir. What’s even more useful is that you can hack these pens and switch out the steel Bock nibs and replace them with Pilot 912 FA flex nibs or Sailor 21k nibs. You just need the appropriate nib housing that you can order from Flexible Nib Factory..
