This pen…. Is something else. The unboxing feels memorable. The beautiful designed box, the velvety inside, the pen and bottle of Namiki ink nicely presented… wow!

The pen itself is perfect! It’s beautiful to hold and view. The Phoenix is beautifully crafted, the nib a sight to behold. But the best thing is: it writes so handsomely. The nib glides over the paper, with a nice inkflow. It such a joy to write with. It’s so smooth!

I like that this pen can function as a daily driver, and isn’t just a nice pen to look at.

I highly recommend it.

The design and the craftsmanship of the Maki-E Chinese Phoenix is absolutely marvelous. The pen came with ink bottle in a decent wooden box, It was a very good buy. I really love this pen.
