Love the smooth F nib on my "cute" black Lilliput, but its practicality is limited. Very happy with the longer Supra (also heavier) on all counts. Love the #6 F nib: writes a perfectly smooth, fine line. Re: ergonomics:
- with both the "extension" and cap posted: definitely back heavy;
- with the extension, and without posting the cap: perfect;
- without the extension, but with the cap posted: perfectly usable, but the cap has to be screwed on to the end of the barrel in order to post it. This is ok for long writing sessions, but I find it bothersome if I have to cap and uncap frequently (which is the common use-case for me).
- without the extension and without posting the cap: too small.
Finally, about Appelboom's stellar customer service: they sent the small stainless steel Liliput to me by mistake. When told about this, they sent the Supra (free of charge, of course), and offered to let me keep the Liliput at 50% off. I thought that was very generous.
The Supra is a perfect pocket pen. Wider than the Kaweco Liliput which I find great but the same length (if used without the extra sleeve which). The best part is the fullsize, No6 nib which writes so very well. I would say that my fine nib writes very close to a medium however, but I like it. Thanks Appelboom.
