My first Pelikan and will definitely not be my last. The nib is beautiful to look at and so smooth on the paper. The size and design make it perfect for longer writing sessions.

Another smooth Pelikan

Pelikan Souverän fountain pens are relatively expensive, but write with consistently exceptional smoothness. This is the fourth Souverän fountain pen in my collection, the first three with factory F or EF nibs.
For this green and white Souverän I chose a broad 14k nib with an excellent crisp Italic custom grind by Appelboom's highly skilled nibmeister, Anabelle Hiller. It was worth waiting for, and is a pleasure to use.
As always, my order arrived beautifully gift wrapped and carefully packed, adding to the pleasure of opening the package after the anticipation of awaiting its arrival.

I own the M 1000 and M 800 already but the colour combination ecticed me to go for a smaller version of M1000. Glides on the paper , looks a piece of art in the hand. Must buy.

Another great Pelikan. Beautiful pen and color combination. I wish they would have this various 605 color variety in the 805 size pens. As always wonderfully wrapped and packaged by Appelboom. I will continue to buy my fine pens from them.

Another attractive addition to the M6xx line

If you are a fan of the piston-fillers, and a green white color scheme appeals to you, then this is a pen for you! The white resin compliments the chatoyant kelly green stripes in the celluloid acetate barrel. The rhodinated, silver-colored furniture completes a pleasant, subtle look.

The modern Pelikan M600/605 is a small step up in size from the classic M400/405, yet maintains a wonderful neutral balance when posted, and weighs in at under 20g. For me the M605 is ideal for long writing sessions and daily note-taking. The 14k gold nib is classic Pelikan: a bit round and boring, but butter smooth and flawless for everyday writing.

The only thing I would knock on this pen: the somewhat elevated MSRP. Fortunately, I was able to purchase the pen at a good price during a promotion from Appelboom! If you can find this pen at a good discount, and you like the color, don't hesitate! Production is limited, and they seem to be going fast...
