The Pelikan M1000 in Renaissance Brown is truly a beautiful pen. Also, Appelboom's tune & smooth service for the nib makes this already great nib perform like a dream. This is by far one of the most enjoyable writing experiences one could imagine. I could not be happier with this choice.

This is my first ever Pelikan pen. I was hesitant based on my own picky preferences on fountain pens to purchase a Pelikan. But the M1000 Renaissance brown surprised me. Not only was it appealing but the pen feels comfortable in my hand and I can write for long sessions without tiring.
Since I got my pen tuned and smoothed the pen worked great out of the box. It has become an everyday favourite for me.
This is my first Pelikan M1000 and getting in this beautiful color which is Limited Edition is awesome.
My feedback to this pen is that this pen nib has been tuned by APPELBOOM and it writes really smooth with any angle.

Pen feels really solid on hand and opaque body so you cannot see the ink. Ink flow is off course wet and best part if that you can finish whole pen ink in 4-5 pages of writing. It’s just fun to write with this pen.

The Renaissance brown M1000 is even more beautiful in person than in pictures. I love that they used brown instead of black for the section, it adds so much richness. As always the M1000 is my favorite Pelikan because of the the size and springiness of the nib. The fine nib writes so smooth, it is a joy to both look at and use.
I have several Pelikans but this is my first M1000 for understandable reasons. I have large hands and slender fingers and this pen feels very comfortable. I ordered a fine nib because this is a large nib and as Pelikan nibs tend to be wet I thought I’d throttle back a bit. It took a little longer than usual to receive the pen but I was surprised to also receive several samples of Diemans Encore inks, I’m trying the Aria right now. As always pleased to get couple of Stroopwafel mini’s. As I said before I’ll be a return customer.
Pelikan is usually my favorite brand of fountain pen so I was really looking forward to this pens arrival. I was definitely not disappointed, its a wet writer and smooth as butter. Its also absolutely beautiful and feels great in my hand. As always Appleboom is the prefect retailer in terms of service and quality of offerings!
Brown is not my color but this is a beautiful pen. The M800 size is perfect for my hands (on the large size). The pen has a warm look and aesthetically beauty to it. I am a Pelican fan and have a large collection. While it is a beautiful pen, in my experience Pelikan's have a beautiful and smooth nib also. So, not only is it a great pen but it also has a warm feeling when looking at it.
Bought this in Fine and it’s a gusher! Glides through paper and is a very bouncy nib! Loving how it writes. Thinking maybe should’ve gotten the EF instead because the F writes more like a Medium.
