Bijzonder mooie pen met prachtig gekleurd resin. Vooral icm met de rose gold accenten! Leonardo heeft altijd fijne nibs, en ook deze schrijft vloeiend! Weer een mooie aanwinst!

Beautiful pen and a great writer

I liked the "Ginger" material when I first saw this pen's photos. I put it on my "buy list." I have over 2 dozen Leonardo pens , but only a couple are Furores, not counting the one I gifted to a dil. I ordered mine with a stub nib.

The material is a mix of reddish-brown, light gray and clear resin chips. It bears a resemblance to the Leonardo "jade" material, except that has a light green theme. Anyway, the Ginger material is really attractive.

Leonardo used Bock nibs until a year or so ago when they switched to JoWo nibs. The JoWo 1.1mm stubs write a slightly finer line and are crisper than the Leonardo stubs of yore. This is an improvement, to my taste. The several Leonardo recent purchases of stub nibbed pens have all been excellent writers.

In summary, I am very happy with this pen and, of course, with Appelboom's excellent service.

As an owner of a number of Leonardo pens, I know what I was getting. What surprised me, was the unique quality of the cracked ice resin. It was something I would expect on a much higher end pen. The pen comes with Leonardo’s standard steel nib, in this case was F (fine). The ink flow was outstanding onto Rhoda 80g/m2 paper. The nib had no skipping or babys bottom. For a steel nib it work very well.

Over all this is an excellent pen with eye catching resin at a very reasonable price.
