Platinum Vicoh Modern Maki-e Phoenix Fountain Pen

This Platinum Vicoh Modern Maki-E features a phoenix, which has long appeared in Japanese art as a symbol of long life and prosperity.

It features a beautiful silk-screened design inspired by Japan's natural scenery and traditional maki-e artwork. "Maki-e" is a combination of the Japanese words for "sprinkle" and "paint", referring to the technique of lacquering a surface with detailed images and metallic powders. The pen is accented by gold-colored trim and features an 18k gold Platinum nib.

The fountain pen uses Platinum ink cartridges, but with the special Ink Cartridge Adapter it is also possible to use the Standard International ink cartridges.
