Pelikan Originals of their Time Series. This is the Lapis Celluloid pen in the series celebrating the Pelikan fountain pens of the 1930s. The Lapis was issued originally in the year 2001 as a part of the 5 series of pens called Pelikans of their Time. These are pens that in the Golden Age of Fountain Pens where small in your pocket and large in your hands, based on how the pen cap posted on the barrel. As was done in the vintage original in 1935, in this reissue the barrel of the "1935" is made of blue celluloid, a traditional and expensive material used for the production of fountain pens during this era. The typical, marble effect is achieved by adding to te he blue amount of white color, which gives each pen an individual and unique look.
