Montegrappa joins with the humanitarian organisation Right To Play for a Solidarity Edition designed to improve young lives. Choose from ballpoint, rollerball or two fountain pen tiers and help write a brighter future. The Montegrappa Right To Play is based on Montegrappa’s ZERO model. It is an exclusive writing collection which combines assertive performance with solidarity: a prestige symbol of literacy created to give children the opportunities they deserve.

For more than 20 years, Right To Play has instigated and managed programmes in regions of Africa, Asia, the Middle East and North America. Founded by champion speed skater Johann Olav Koss, the Switzerland-based organisation operates under the banner “Protect. Educate. Empower.” – bringing unique learning methods to communities, education ministries, teachers and children in 15 countries.

Our dedicated Solidarity Edition underlines Right To Play’s vital work, framing a custom blend Montegrappite resin with resilient black steel and the organisation’s ingenious ‘shirtball’ emblem. The emblem symbolizes the desire of children to play, no matter how bad their circumstances, even if it means having to tie your shirt in a knot to create a ball.

Proceeds from sales of Right To Play support our partner’s current mission to improve girls’ access to education. Around the world, 129 million girls are currently estimated to be out of school, and Right To Play’s SAVE HER SEAT campaign addresses the crisis with a range of initiatives designed to deliver meaningful change.

Italy's first pen producer, Montegrappa, began manufacturing pens in 1912 in its factory in Bassano del Grappa in Italy. Utilizing natural celluloid and precious metals, Montegrappa combines traditional methods, such as die-casting, with more recent innovations like low-relief engraving, to form their precious art objects. Whether Montegrappa uses colors reminiscent of the master painters or ornamentation suggestive of Baroque palaces, the Italian heritage and romance is infused into each product.
