I like to write with two pens: one with black ink, another with blue-black. I have an Omas Paragon (modern) that needed a worthy companion. The Leonardo Dodici Vulcanica was perfect. The Leonardo is the same size as the Paragon or Pelikan M1000. So, yes, its a large pen and the large nib is the equal to the Pelikan M1000 in size. The section diameter on the Leonardo is a bit girthier than the Pelikan. It holds an incredible amount of ink. Ah, but the writing experience has a nimble turn that belies its majestic presence. It's a unique experience that large pen lovers will not want to miss.
