The name Momento Zero, absolutely evoking, exactly means a new beginning, a start from scratch; the first pen made by a new company, based on experience and passion of a strong team. The Leonardo Momento Zero collection is inspired by the Italian vintage style, worldwide known; it's a classic pen, well balanced with size and metal trims.

The fountain pen has a stainless steel nib in different sizes (Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad and Stub) and uses the standard international cartridge/converter filling mechanism (converter included).

And the story goes on... A family tradition. Leonardo Officina Italiana is a forge, a laboratory where experience and craftsmanship are mixed giving life to “pleasure”, the pleasure of writing.

Over 45 years of experience in the field of writing instruments, handed down from father to son, from generation to generation. Today Leonardo Officina Italiana works on emotional and vintage projects, taking up the old loading systems, the materials and the working techniques that once characterized the craft of the craftsman. The sea stone is a combination of blue, brown and red cracked ice style finish, I choose the EF nib for this Momento Zero, at first write, it was scratchy, and my ink was diamine which is a reasonably wet ink, but the more I use this pen to write the smoother it is. The end finial can be uncapped to review a converter knob for absorbing ink, so I can either unscrew the barrel or unscrew the end finial to fill my ink.

This is a great pen! The colours are gorgeous, the pen feels great in the hand, and the nib was really well-tuned (Thanks to Appelboom nib specialists!). Strongly recommended!

I would also like to thank Appelboom for its fantastic service. Quick delivery, good prices, and the waffles were a nice little touch! It was my first purchase here and I'm extremely happy. I'm now a loyal customer :)

I bought my Leonardo Momento Zero Pietra Marina with an 'M' nib, and it quickly became one of my favourite fountain pens. The colours are vibrant with a beautiful chatoyance. The grip section is very comfortable, which makes it an excellent pen for longer writing sessions. The nib is smooth, with a nice flow, and writes very well. This is a fantastic pen, and I highly recommend it!

My Memento Zero Pietro Marina with is Appelboom tuned nib is one of the most comfortable pens in the hand and most enjoyable writing experiences that I have had. As this is my first experience of Italian pens I am very impressed.

Appelboom service has been second to none and I'm sure that the free nib tuning has made all the difference.

I have to admit, I have fallen in love with the Momento Zero. This colour option is intriguing and definitely brings to mind the beautiful waters of the italian coast lapping over the stony shore.

This model of pen just feels right in my hand and I know I will have to seek out more

The service from Appelboom is also top notch and the free nib tuning option is fantastic.

In my opinion this pen stands out amongst its contemporaries because of the fantastic choice of colours. The dark blue looks really nice next to the vibrant red/orange. It's reminiscent of an Italian coast line with the reddish rocks and the deep blue sea next to it.

The pen performs beautifully for long writing sessions. The weight is just perfect non-posted, is too heavy when posted for me. The nib is springy and wet, when inked with Lamy Crystal inks. Overall extremely happy with the pen!
