There are only a few writing instruments which have been successful in the market for decades without big changes. One of them is of course the Kaweco Classic Sport. It follows the design of the year 1935. A friendship for generations. This edition features a solid matt finished aluminium body.

Striking at the Kaweco AL Sport Red Fountain pen is that it is very small. The pen has a lenght of only 10.5 cm with closed cap, and therefore easy to store in a bag or pocket, but with the cap on the back of the penit measures 13.5 cm and it is excellent to write with.

The Kaweco AL Sport Red Fountain pen has a steel nib made by the German company Bock Heidelberg and fills by cartridge or converter.

Excellent in every form. Pen is quite sturdy with evenly distributed weight. Looks more stunning than the pictures! Smooth nib with good flow.
Appelboom did a great job in delivering it to my country in record time. Thank you!

The Kaweco AL Sport Red (Fine Nib) works like a charm - it wrote smoothly and consistently straight out of the box. It looks great and the aluminum material offered just the right weight for daily writing. The Appelboom service was great and the delivery efficient. Many thanks.

I bought the Kaweco Al Sport in red and had Appelboom check the nib before it was shipped to me. When it arrived I was eager to test it out and soon realised that it outperformed my older Pelikan m805 Stresemann which I bought in Berlin some years ago. Of course, that meant I eventually had to send my Pelikan to Appelboom to work their magic.
So, the Kaweco writes really well. A smooth fine line (Fine Nib) with no hard starts or skipping. And it doesn't seem to dry out. It feels sturdy and well made. The cap threads works smoothly and it caps very well (there's an inner rubber/plastic sleeve). I'm genuinely surprised at the quality and writing experience at this price, with a steel nib. I terms of size, I have very large hands (more than 21 cm from tip of middle finger to the root of my wrist) and while posted, the Kaweco is a very nice size lengthwise (I normally use an m800 series Pelikan unposted).
Appelboom's service was perfect with fast delivery. Thank You Appelboom.
