This 1993 silver pencil holder from Graf von Faber-Castell is the very first model ever released by the renowned German luxury brand – the predecessor of what is now known as the "Perfect Pencil". Often considered the granddaddy of the modern design, this vintage piece still reflects many of the stylistic elements found in today’s versions.

Unlike current models, this original iteration features a sliding sterling silver band that acts as a functional locking mechanism, rather than merely decorative.  There is no integrated sharpener in this version; at the time, Graf offered a separate sterling silver sharpener as a matching accessory or as part of a desk set.

The set comes with three original Graf pencils, making it a rare and collectible item for lovers of high-end writing tools.
