Review Title: (Almost) The perfect fountain pen

After going through many fills with my Optima, I can say the nib, ergonomics, fit and finish, and overall writing experience are incredibly refined. The medium nib came perfectly tuned, and writes with just a touch of pleasant feedback. The line is about a 6/10 of wetness and the feed regulates flow very well, with no noticeable inconsistency. The only real issue I have with the pen is the "hidden" ink reservoir, where the piston displaces the last few drops of ink so they can enter the feed: this feature makes cleaning a chore since both ink and water will get caught in the gaps between piston, feed, and barrel in the fully depressed position, and pushing the last ink out of the reservoir tends to completely saturate the feed, and if you do it before you enough ink has been used up, be prepared to deal with some splatter and burping. Besides the minor inconvenience caused by the last few mm of the piston, this is a truly excellent fountain pen.

After writing 10,000 words with this pen, I 'd say this pen is near perfect. The nib gives a pleasant feedback and yet it feels smooth on just about any type of paper (how did Aurora do this!). In my opinion, this pen easily outperforms its competitors (like Pelikan and Montblanc) in the similar price range.
