Opus 88 have spent a long time to create the perfect colours for their new Minty collection, and it really shows: the Minty Light Blue has beautiful shades of ocean blue, combined with a matching ink window for added effect.

The Opus 88 Minty fountain pen can be eyedroppered and comes equipped with a steel nib.

Opus 88 is a Taiwanese company. The name Opus was choosen because the company tries to tell the pen user that they are good in using different materials to create pens (materials like brass, wood, shell, sterling silver, acrylic, ebonite, etc.). The number 88 is a reference to the year the company was founded. The symbols in the logo are the Chinese word fort he family name of the company ‘’Hsu’’.

This is my 4th Opus 88, which should tell you something. The usual quality is evident and the writing experience does not disappoint. The pen feels good in hand and writes well. I love the addition of the flex option with my choice of EF nib that allows for extra expression. The Minty colour is pleasing, too.

This pen is in line with the Opus 88 products: it does not disappoint.
It is a larger that it looks in the pictures, very well balanced, a nice size in hand.
The colors are beautiful and vibrant.
The writing experience is as always spot-on. The elastic nib gives it some additional bounce and comfort.
Overall, I am extremely pleased with it.
