Lamy is an independent family-owned enterprise which was established in 1930 by , former Parker employee, C. Josef Lamy in Heidelberg. The Lamy brand has existed since 1952 and proved its innovative prowess in the very first year with the completely novel Lamy 27 fountain pen series. And in 1966 the distinctive style of Lamy Design was born with the Lamy 2000.

The photos don't do justice to the glacier color of the pen. It's less bright than it looks.
The grip section is not slippery as many indicate on this internet, at least for me who wrote for many years with a metal Parker Joter.
About the nib nothing to say, I find it less smooth than the one that comes with the Safari .
The only drawback is the cap that wobbles. It seems that it is badly closed, Lamy could improve in this aspect.

Thanks to the Appelboom team for the speedy delivery, as the pen arrived earlier than expected.

Levering/levertijd zeer goed.

Lamy studio vulpen is degelijke vulpen vergelijkbaar met Parker sonnet.

The pen: beautiful design, decent writing but the nib is not comparable to LAMY'S gold nib (like Lamy 2000). Nice wrap and a pair of cookies inside!
Better to buy this pen in a store which includes the standard converter or a cartridge at least! Non of them was included with the pen.

This is a really nice pen for a really great price. The design is elegant and the weight is nice. The body has a slight texture to it which is nice to the touch. There's a very satisfying response when you cap and uncap the pen. And of course, nice smooth writing. I got the fine nib. I think I prefer the medium Lamy nibs, but that's just a matter of preference based on my own handwriting, and not intended as a reflection of the pen/nib itself. I'm still glad to have a variety of nib sizes in my arsenal.

A commendation to the Appelboom service. The package arrived extremely quickly and they send you emails at every point of the process to let you know how your order is going. Top-notch customer service. 100% I would order from them again.

I love the Lamy Studio fountain pen design!
I now own eleven different colours with a range of nib sizes, and of course each is filled with a different colour ink.

The newest addition is this Glacier, and I think it is the most elegant.

The Extra Fine Lamy nib is clean, crisp, and has a satisfying bite on the paper, without snag or lag.

Now my decision is what ink to use in the Glacier that complements its 'warmer than grey, more enigmatic than light blue' shade.

Everything about the pen and the purchase experience was 5 star: I commend Appelboom on delivering it to Australia so quickly. and beautifully wrapped like a birthday present! ...which it was from me to me :)
