The Lamy AL-star Fiery fountain pen is one of two special editions of the AL-star in 2024. It is made from lightweight, durable aluminium and has the AL-star's characteristic front section and flexible clip. The pen is designed by Wolfgang Fabian.

The Lamy AL-star fountain pen has a steel nib and uses Lamy cartridges or the Lamy Z28 converter.

Lamy is an independent family-owned enterprise which was established in 1930 in Heidelberg by former Parker employee C. Josef Lamy. The Lamy brand has existed since 1952 and proved its innovative prowess in the very first year with the completely novel Lamy 27 fountain pen series. And in 1966 the distinctive style of Lamy Design was born with the Lamy 2000.

An eye-catching red pen. The red color is attractive and not over done. Especially like the color matching section that many recent AL-star pens have.

Een verrassende nieuwe uitvoering van de Lamy Al-Star, waarbij de grijze transparante grip is ingeruild voor een bij de barrel matchende grip. Ik vind het geslaagd!

Verder is de Al-Star een bekend concept dat verder weinig uitleg behoeft, denk ik. Een fijne en solide schrijver, waarbij de nib makkelijk vervangen kan worden door een andere schrijfbreedte. En met de bijpassende converter kun je je eigen kleur inkt kiezen, waarbij mijn voorkeur in dit geval uitgaat naar Lamy Crystal ink Ruby/.
