S.T. Dupont New York 5th Avenue Limited Edition Fountain Pen

A remarkable S.T. Dupont New York 5th Avenue Limited Edition from 2007, inspired by the glamour and architecture of Manhattan during the 1930s and 1940s. This prestigious collection pays tribute to New York City and to the visionary French interior designers who created the luxurious apartments and offices along Fifth Avenue and the Upper East Side.

The collection deliberately combines influences from 16th-century Spanish Baroque, 18th-century French Classicism, Art Deco and Surrealism, resulting in a richly detailed and highly distinctive design.

Only 1,929 individually numbered pieces of this exceptional Limited Edition were produced worldwide. The number 1,929 is a direct historical reference to the year in which Lucien Tissot-Dupont first travelled to New York.

Design & craftsmanship

The pen features a refined two-tone base finished in hand-applied natural Chinese lacquer in warm taupe and deep chocolate tones. Surrounding the lacquer is an intricate pattern of pale-gold arabesques and geometric motifs, individually chased and engraved by hand.

The design subtly references the famous globe held by the Atlas figure at the foot of Rockefeller Center on Fifth Avenue.

In keeping with S.T. Dupont's tradition of exceptional craftsmanship, this Limited Edition underwent an extensive artisanal process combining techniques such as polishing, guilloché and hand engraving.

Nib & filling system

The fountain pen is fitted with an 18-karat gold Medium nib and uses a cartridge/converter filling system.
