The Pineider Alchemist Kilauea Blue 14k fountain pen is made from a new material with extraordinary properties: zeolite. This material is considered by many to be a universal panacea or the alchemist’s stone, sometimes known as the philosopher’s stone or the fifth element.

Zeolites are volcanic minerals formed millions of years ago by an encounter of lava and seawater. The name literally means ‘boiled (zeo) stone (lithos)’. The material in the Alchemist pens consists of over 40% pure zeolite. This makes the pen highly durable, but also gives it a very pleasant tactile feeling. Because the material is microporous, the surface is velvety to the touch and naturally hygroscopic, giving it an excellent grip when held.

The Pineider Alchemist 14kt Kilauea Blue 14kt fountain pen uses the Mystery Filler piston filling mechanism and is equipped with a flexible 14 kt gold nib. The pen has an ink window, so you know when to refill your pen.
