An exceptionally rare and impressive Omas Jerusalem 3000 Solid 18K Gold Limited Edition fountain pen, crafted in Italy and released in 1996 to commemorate the 3000th anniversary of Jerusalem as the capital of the Kingdom of King David.

Only 500 individually numbered examples of this exclusive solid-gold edition were produced worldwide. The combination of its limited production, solid 18-karat gold construction and highly detailed historical design makes this Omas a particularly desirable collector's piece.

Design & Symbolism

The pen features an intricately crafted gold overlay depicting the historic architecture of the Old City of Jerusalem. The openwork filigree, rendered in both high and low relief, represents the ancient city walls, gates and skyline of Jerusalem.

The design prominently features three historic city gates: the Jaffa Gate, also known as the Gate of King David, the Zion Gate and the Lions' Gate. The Western Wall and the Seal of Solomon are also incorporated into the design.

The official Jerusalem 3000 logo is subtly engraved throughout the design in the region's three official languages: Arabic, English and Hebrew.

A particularly interesting historical detail is the “OMAS Extra Italy” engraving, executed in the traditional style used by founder Armando Simoni when signing his first gold pen in 1925.

Solid 18-Karat Gold

The overlay is crafted from 18-karat yellow gold (750). Beneath the gold overlay is a deep crimson natural resin, providing a striking contrast to the warm tone of the gold.

The extensive hand craftsmanship and substantial use of gold give the pen an exceptionally solid and luxurious presence.

Nib & Filling System
