Handmade in the same location as the original, the Venetia pen is full-bodied, showcasing the lathing prowess of early-era Montegrappa with bullet- nose tips and dashing, gold-plated brass trims. The pen is engraved with Montegrappa’s diamond-engraved 1928 ‘touring’ logo, which was a denomination of origin prized throughout Italy, and marks the first recorded use of the Montegrappa name. The Venetia fountain pens use a cartridge/converter and are equipped with a #6 nib, available in steel, 14kt gold and 14 gold flex.

Italy's first pen producer, Montegrappa, began manufacturing pens in 1912 in its factory in Bassano del Grappa in Italy. Utilizing natural celluloid and precious metals, Montegrappa combines traditional methods such as die-casting with more recent innovations as low-relief engraving to form their precious art objects. Whether Montegrappa use colors reminiscent of the master painters or ornamentation suggestive of Baroque palaces, the Italian heritage and romance is infused into each product.
