Review Title: Cocoa Shimmer review

Review Add on: 20-10-2026
Average Rating: (5)

It was my first time using a Diamine Inkvent ink, and I am pleasantly surprised. There’s a good balance between the brown ink and gold shimmer. The payoff is fairly consistent. Ink dries quickly and doesn’t bleed. I’m writing with a Sheaffer M nib. I’m definitely going to try more of these inks.

Review Title: Prachtige inkt voor uitzonderlijke woorden

Review Add on: 22-07-2025

Review Title: Shimmer Love

Cocoa shimmer has an outstanding performance and in my TWSBI Diamond 580 with F nib very well to handle. Don’t forget to shake and unfortunately RE-shake after a few seconds…. I do love it, the texts look amazing when you write with this eyecatcher ink

Review Title: Shimmer comes at a price

Review Add on: 09-04-2025
Average Rating: (3)

On thre botton of the bottle you see the shimmer particles, until you shake things up. After 20 seconds shaking, it takes just another 20 seconds to bring the shimmer particles back to bottom. I tried to fill it in a Kaweco but as I assumed before it was blocking the inkflow and a deep clean was necessary. With a glass or a steel nib in a holder, the inks work well, but the handling ... good for decorative lettering, less good for longer texts.

Review Title: Firefly

Review Add on: 09-02-2025

Firefly shimmer ink from Diamine, is gorgeous! In fountain pens or dip pen it writes so well. Love to draw with it. I prefer it in other nib sizes that EF but can handle EF nib as well, tried it in my twsbi eco ef and it wrote well, but in F size it was a dream. Still my fave using an dip pen like Kakimori steel nib- for drawing

Review Title: Diamine Shimmering Inkt: Spearmint Diva

Review Add on: 19-02-2023
Average Rating: (5)

This ink was purchased as a gift for my wife.

I was looking for an ink that would be a good combination with the Benu Essence Mint Ice fountain pen and Rhodia paper.

My wife is very happy with this ink. She loves the silver glitter and mint is one of her favorite colors. The ink was used in combination with the aforementioned Benu pen with a fine nib.

The ink flows well and gives no problems in combination with the smaller nibsize. The ink with glitters goes well on the paper and the color is dark enough that it is easy to read. No feathering.

I noticed that using a dash of golden ink in your daily writing can contribute to brightening your day. Proof? Golden Sands ink did that to me.

Review Title: Beautiful Ink

Review Add on: 21-11-2021
Average Rating: (4)

This is a beautiful ink that really would be perfect for writing a special card etc. For me it is a little too flash for day to day use but if you are not using it in a corporate setting you will be fine.

The ink behaves differently depending on the paper. For me when I used cheaper paper then shimmer colour became the primary ink colur and when using a good quality paper you get the ink forward with the shimmer in the background.

All in all I am very happy to have this in my collection and will probably add some more heading into the holiday season.

Review Title: Diamine Moon Dust and Golden Sands

Review Add on: 21-02-2021
Average Rating: (4)

Moon Dust: Dark grey with silver shimmers; Golden Sands: Dark yellow with gold shimmer.
Perfect for Christmas, made my cards look beautiful. Didn't clog up the pen at all, however, I did use stub nibs. Both look also nice with finer nibs as well, but the shimmer reduces drastically.
Ink looks also beautiful in the bottle, almost like shimmering oil. It needs to be shaken at regular intervals, the shimmer particles settle down quickly.

Review Title: Diamine Shimmering ink

Review Add on: 13-12-2020

Review Add on: 11-07-2020

Review Title: Blue Pearl

Review Add on: 04-07-2020

I had been looking for some more special ink for writing cards or special letters. I was searching for a not to bright and clear colour shade, I wanted an intensive colour with either o lot of shading or some nice shimmering. So I decided to go for the shimmering first and ordered this Blue Pearl second after enjoying the Diamond shimmering Ivy Green first. The blue is amazing. It is a very beautiful intense and rich blue. And the shimmering is very decent not to much just the right amount in my eyes but a bit more obvious than the Ivy Green. It pops some more depending how the light falls on it. It is perfect for the intense I wanted it.

I would never use it in one of my vintage pens with ink sack because the shimmering parts will fall out a bit so that you will never get it absolutely clean again.

Lucky me lover of more wet inks. It is more a wet than a dry ink.

I am really happy getting the Blue Pearl

I bought Red Lustre and Wine Divine. Theg really make writing even more fun and I could watch the shimmer roll around in my pen all day. Make sure to shake (gently) the ink bottle before you put the ink in the pen, otherwise you won't get any of the shimmer in.
