This pen is fantastic value, looks great, and as an eyedropper has huge ink capacity. The nib felt smooth out of the box, and writes wet, so it deserves an interesting ink selection.

Have to mention the excellent service from Appelboom too. They were friendly and quick to respond, swapping out a fine nib for a medium when I had a post-order change of mind (after I realised that these no.5 nibs would run a point finer than the no.6 in my TWSBI 580). Highly recommend both the pen and Appelboom!

Alle technische voordelen zijn in de vorige beoordelingen al beschreven, dus daar ga ik het niet over hebben. Je moet deze pen niet vergelijken met bijvoorbeeld Montegrappa's en andere high-end pennen. Maar daar is de prijs ook naar.
Wat wel heel belangrijk is het gevoel die de pen je geeft als je hem gebruikt. Geen moderne fratsen als plastic cartridges, die overigens handig zijn, maar voordat je schrijft de pen vullen met een naald of pipet. je ziet de pen zichzelf vullen. Vervolgens geeft het schrijven een gevoel dat je met een ambachtelijk schrijfinstrument werkt. Bij mij zit de waardering dus in de emotie bij het schrijven. Een echte aanrader voor de echte schrijvers!!!!!!!!

I really like the appearance and feel of this pen. It's not too big or too small. The shut-off valve lets me take it to the mountains without leaking. I got it with the stub nib which has some feedback, but gives nice line variation.

The Koloro is a nicely made, well proportioned pen with excellent materials quality and great fit & finish. The styling is unique and in my opinion rather attractive.
An interchangeable nib with a standardized base is a nice touch, as is the fact that the cap can be posted while the ink valve is open.
Writing manners are just fine, with good ink flow, a smooth nib and just enough bounce to be more expressive than a fully rigid unit.
My one criticism, is that the ink shutoff valve has a rubber face, which means that it compresses a fair amount when closing and thus requires an extra half turn or so of the shutoff knob in order to be in the "open" position.

I really like this pen! It's a wet nib but perfectly secured by this eyedropper-system.
A fountainpen for everyday, but special.

I've had my koloro for a while now. It wrote smoothly out of the box, and it looks great and feels good in my hands.
The best is the huge ink capacity! I've easily fit a 2ml sample in there, and probably 2.5 would still fit. The O-ring and shut-off mechanism make sure the ink doesn't dry out when not in use, or blurb ink due to pressure changes, making it a perfect travel pen

The barrel of the beige-blue is a bit on the dark side, so you'll have to hold the pen against a light source to check the remaining ink level. The design and colors of this particular pen would work well in business settings, as it isn't too flashy. I've grown to love this pen so much that I bought the other colors as well. You just can't go wrong with these!
