Discover the Sailor Profit JR Retro fountain pen Set inspired by the respective Japanese eras of Taisho (1912 -1926), Showa (1926 – 1989) and Heisei (1989 – 2019). The fountain pens have transparent bodies, offering entertaining glimpses of the colourful combinations of the converter and inks inside.

The Sailor Profit JR Retro fountain pen uses a stainless steel nib and has a cartridge/converter filling mechanism.

Sailor pens was established in 1911 in Japan, becoming the first to produce fountain pens in their home country. They have subsequently built a first-class reputation in the manufacture of the highest quality nibs, with all parts made in their own factory in Hiroshima. Their flagship collections are the classic 1911 and boldly designed Professional Gear, all available with a 14k or 21k gold nib. The Sailor name comes from founder Kyugoro Sakata's British sailor friend who introduced him to fountain pens.

This offer is a complete package for a very affordable price. The barrel, section, and even the feed of this pen are made of clear resin. Only the cap has a unique colour depending on your chosen version. It has a silver clip and band. The fountain pen has a stainless steel MF-nib, which writes very nicely and it suits this pen perfectly because it's a very light and relatively small pen.

The package contains a converter and you also get a small bottle of ink, which unfortunately doesn't match the cap colour. Still, the inks are very nice. This is not only a nice gift for yourself, but also an option for people to introduce them in the fountain pen world.
