Description
Waterman produces their own ink at their factory in Nantes, France. They use a basic base ink for all colours and then add tints. The ink is avaiable in 8 different colors in 50 ml ink bottles.

I love SBREBrown reviews and he uses waterman inks more than not. It has been called a well behaved ink. I love changing inks therefore I need an ink that will wash out easily. Waterman’s tender purple is one of my favorites.

Ik gebruik de blue black (Mysterious Blue) van Waterman al een paar jaar, zeer mooie kleur voor dagelijks gebruik. De inktpot is handig: als hij een aardig eindje leeg is kan je m op zijn zij leggen zodat je makkelijker de inkt onderin de pot kan bereiken. Prima snelle levering door appelboom ook.

When I discovered Pelikan pens I decided to stay with the Edelstein inks. I heard good things about Waterman inks but was a bit shy. I recently ordered another Pelikan and inked it with Serenity Blue. It is a wonderful ink. Great color, very consistent as well. Truly glad I stepped out of my comfort zone to try this. If you want a traditional blue ink give this one a try.

I bought this ink when I switched back to a fountain pen. And been very satisfied with it so far.
Flows very well and the colour is great. Doesn’t clog up the pen over time. And the bottle can be tilted to the side to get the ink out more easy.

Prima inkt die goed vloeit en de pen niet verstopt. Handig potje dat gekanteld kan worden om het vullen makkelijker te maken.

Prachtige volle turquoise kleur (“inspired blue”) die weer eens wat anders is dan gewoon blauw of zwart en toch geschikt is voor dagelijks gebruik. De inkt droogt mooi op. Het potje kan op z’n kant gelegd worden als het leger raakt om het vullen gemakkelijker maken. Aanrader!

As a new fountainpen user I somehow managed to get most of the colors ink except for a blue ink. After asking around a bit and looking into nibgrinding too I discovered Waterman Serenity Blue (just called blue/blauw here). Apparently this is a staple blue ink because it acts nice with all pens, is a nice color and washes out stuff easily.
I haven’t tried it extensively yet but it’s a nice color, dries quickly and works as expected. The blue also isn’t a blue purple as some blues seem to be but a clear, soft and vibrant blue. I definitely recommend this one.

Blue ink is my favorite ink. I have more than ten bottles of different shades of blue from different manufacturers. This one is the one i use in demonstrator pens since it does not stain them and it is easy to clean if you want your demonstrator or transparent pen to be as clean as possible when you clean the ink.

the ink has a beautiful blue color (south sea blue) yet is not light proof – text written with the ink discolours within days after being exposed to sunlight… somewhat disappointing…

I ordered another bottle of waterman mysterious blue as this is my favourite ink of all time. it is well behaved dark blue with slight hint of green. large blots of this ink has some red sheen as well. very nice all around ink for me. and price here is very cheap compared to other shops.

This is my daily writer ink. It’s more on the wet side, which is nice for some of my dryer pens. Cost benefit is amazing, flow is very reliable, cleaning easy, no issues so far. Recommended.

I have been looking for a baseline ink line that is no fuss, basic, and easy to use (and clean). Plus, Appelboom has by and far the best prices for inks all around that I can find. The discount incentive to by multiple bottles at once was also really convenient since I wanted to try all eight inks.

A dependable ink in a classic blue colour that works very well in every pen I use it for, both during writing and cleaning. Excellent flow, with decent shading, and a bit of sheen that can be teased out if you have a particularly wet-writing nib.

Ik houd van zwarte vulpeninkt, maar die droogt wat sneller uit dan de blauwe variant, waaardoor je je vulpen vaker moet schoenmaken. Ongeacht het merk van de inkt overigens. Daarom kies ik vaak voor de blauw-zwarte variant van Waterman inkt. Met 1 pot doe ik ruim een jaar en schrijf daarmee ca 1,5 A4 per dag. De pot heeft een hele handige vorm, waardoor je hem helemaal leeg kan maken zonder te knoeien. Top kwaliteit.

Nice, interesting blue colour with a green touch, behaves great on all kinds of papers, on some it is quite water resistant, cleans really well from pens. Great ink for everiday writting, unmatchable price at Appelboom.
